Today we close out CTE month by highlighting our incredible Biotechnology teacher! Through hands-on labs and real-world learning, Mrs. Secoy ensures students are gaining the skills and confidence needed for future careers in science, healthcare, and research. Thank you for inspiring the next generation of innovators and scientists every single day!

This week some of the Aerospace Technology students visited the Vero Beach Airport to take a tour of the Piper Aircraft Manufacturing Plant and visit Sun Aviation Corporation. Some of the students were joined by their parents for a complete factory walk through. During the Piper tour, students got a first-hand look at how Piper Aircraft transforms raw aluminum and sheet metal into some of the most desired private aircraft in general aviation.
After visiting Piper, we traveled to Sun Aviation Corporation, a fixed based operation on the airport property, to learn about the services they provide to both local and visiting aircraft owners. Students learned about the jobs related to fueling, maintenance, and storage of aircraft ranging from small private aircraft to collectable antique fighter aircraft and multimillion dollar helicopters and Learjets. Career pathways were discussed and dreams of owning an aircraft were born during the trip.
