VERO BEACH, FL (May 22, 2026) - The School District of Indian River County (SDIRC) will provide summer meal service to support children and families throughout the community during the summer months. Beginning June 3 through July 29, nutritious breakfasts and lunches will be available for all children and teens 18 and under at participating schools and community locations across Indian River County.
Coordinated through the District’s Food and Nutrition Services Department, the Summer Meals Program helps ensure students continue to have access to healthy meals while school is out for the summer. Families may visit any participating location during designated meal service times. No registration is required.
“At SDIRC, supporting students extends far beyond the classroom,” said Dr. David K. Moore, Superintendent of Schools. “The Summer Meals Program is one of the many ways we continue serving families during the summer months while ensuring children have access to healthy, nutritious meals in welcoming community spaces.”
