Testing information for Fall 2024

 

Testing at SRHS will occur during the following dates in August through December. Please note that the State of Florida requires students in 11th and 12th grade to earn a passing score on the F.A.S.T ELA Reading assessment as well as the Algebra I (or Geometry) EOC. For Students in 9th and 10th grade, the same requirements apply. SAT and ACT performance can earn students in 11th and 12th grade a concordant score in Math and/or Reading for graduation. Please note that testing begins at approximately 8 a.m. each scheduled day.

 

August 20: All 9th and 10th grade students will take FAST ELA Progress Monitoring assessment 1 (PM1).

 

Last two weeks of September: FAST ELA Retakes for 11th and 12th graders; Algebra 1 EOC retake, Geometry EOC retake, Biology 1 EOC retake, US History EOC retake (only for students who previously completed the course).

 

Oct. 16: SAT School Day/PSAT School Day The district is paying for seniors who still need reading or math testing score for graduation to take the SAT during the school day. The State of Florida pays for all 10th Grade students to take the PSAT. 11th graders can pay $20 to take the PSAT for National Merit Scholar qualifying. Note that students can get the math concordant score for graduation from the PSAT (but not the ELA/Reading concordant score).

 

End of October: ACT non-reportable for Seniors, free of charge. The district is paying for seniors who still need reading or math testing score for graduation to take the ACT-NR during the school day. The NR (non-reportable) is only good for graduation requirements and the score cannot be reported to colleges for admissions consideration. All students receive extended time in each section of the ACT-NR.

SAT and ACT tests are administered on Saturdays and students must register for those online through those testing programs. Your student’s counselor can assist in accessing registration information and deadlines. Please note that registration deadlines are typically one month prior to the test date. You can also click on the links below.
