We are proud to support our Military Students and Families!
Thank you for choosing to join the Sebastian River High School Family, Home of the Sharks! We are excited to support your child’s academic journey and ensure they thrive in our community.
Transition Planning
As part of our commitment, each new student will be assigned a Military Point of Contact (MPOC) to assist with the transition process. For our school, your point of contact will be Commander Peter Bissonnette. He can be reached at [email protected].
School’s Student Led Transition Program
We offer a student-led transition program designed to connect new military students with their peers within two weeks of their arrival. The NJROTC cadets lead this important work. This initiative aims to ease your child’s adjustment from their previous school into SRHS.
Academic Planning
Sebastian River High School (IB) is an accelerated high school that provides a challenging and rigorous educational learning community that is dedicated to “Encouraging Innovation and Promoting Excellence” with all students. With a highly qualified staff and diverse student body, Sebastian River High School can provide a comprehensive, standards-based course of study with a personalized approach where all students can simultaneously earn an industry certification, high school diploma, college course credits and even an associate's degree. Students can engage in a rich elective program designed to meet the individual interest of students while learning in a community that is caring for all its members. The school’s focus on diversity, inclusion, and the SHARKS expectations allow the staff to help all students flourish so that each student achieves their highest potential and becomes a contributing member of the global society.
